How often should I sweep my chimney?
Ideally your chimney should be swept at least once every year. Sweeping your chimney prevents soot building up and reduces the risk of a fire.
Is chimney sweeping messy?
We always place a clean sheet on the floor in front of the fireplace, dust sheets will then be placed over the fireplace. This prevents any soot entering the room. We pride ourselves on providing a clean and professional service.
Do you need to go up on the roof?
No, chimneys are swept from the fireplace so there is no need for us to go up on the roof.
How long does it take?
It usually takes about half an hour to sweep each chimney. Occasionally this may take a little longer.
When should I have my chimney swept?
Ideally your chimney should be swept in Autumn before the burning season and after the season in early Spring or Summer. If you do not sweep your chimney after a Winter there is a possibility of soot falling from the chimney into your room.
